My Background

I am a Guild Certified Feldenkrais practitioner as well as a lifelong movement lover, especially enjoying yoga, ballet, jazz, and modern dance, tai chi and skipping. I have a private practice in Bloomfield, CT, and teach Awareness Through Movement classes at Sacred Rivers Yoga in Glastonbury and at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

As a songwriter, recording artist, and founding member of the international trio, Mad Agnes, www.madagnes.com, I sing and play several instruments including piano, keyboard, guitar and electric bass. I have a BM in Piano (Oberlin) and a graduate degree in Music Therapy (Guildhall School of Music). I discovered the Feldenkrais Method in the mid 80's in New York, and was amazed at how the method helped make everything easier--moving, playing, singing, and writing. I graduated from David Zemach-Bersin’s four-year training in July, 2003 and have been a practitioner ever since.

I host a Feldenkrais study group for other Feldenkrais practitioners and am the New England Region Librarian. I attend several advanced trainings a year to continue my personal development and because I enjoy it.

I am grateful to be able to witness the profound changes in my students as they discover more ease, vitality and beauty in their movements and gestures once lost to them because of pain, injury, or habitual misuse.

In 2013, I'm a co-pilot for Rhiannon's All The Way In vocal improv training in Hawai'i, California and Canada.
